Road accident at Sukhia claims a life of tourist

Alpha Thapa Darjeeling January 7: 55-year-old tourist Gowith Mohan Rakshit of Kolkata died on the spot when a tourist Spacio slipped off the road at the Sukhia Simana road on Sunday night around 7 pm. The other four injured were immediately taken to the Darjeeling District hospital. Source informed that the tourists were on vacation in Darjeeling. “We were returning to Darjeeling from Mirik” said Manju Rakshit wife of deceased who’s both the hands are fractured. The vehicle was carrying her husband, mother Karuna Dey, sons Somo Rakshit and Soebal Majumdar. Darjeeling district hospital DMO R Gosh said the admitted passengers have mostly hands and legs fractured and the other conditions are normal.
