{KNE}Kalimpong, October 17: As per the decision of the CPRM youth wing, a demand letter has been prepared by them demanding that all the official works of the Panchayat level should be done in Nepali language. They have also decided to do wide publicity for the same, starting firstly from the Gram Panchayat, followed by Block level and Sub Divisional officials and at the Zilla officials in the end.

The CPRM Kalimpong regional secretary, Santosh Pradhan speaking on the same today informed that a faction of the regional committee have already started forwarding the letters to the Panchayat level officers under which the Panchayat officials of Tashiding and Kalimpong Block I received the demand letters today. Such kind of demand letters will be given to all the 112 Gram Panchayats of the hills, he added.

In the other hand, the Gram Panchayat officials said that until and unless there is no direction from the Zilla officials they cannot do anything regarding the same. Earlier also the CPRM had demanded the change in the vehicle numbers and names of the shops in Nepali. “Every person should be aware of the language and use it accordingly”, said the CPRM.
