Kalimpong Treasury Office & People faces unavailability of NG stamps Kalimpong.

Mukesh Sharma: Due to the nil stock of Rs 5/- and Rs 10/- NG stamps at the Treasury Office, the people of Kalimpong are forced to use stamps of Rs 20/- or above. The unavailability of Rs 10/- stamps are since past 2 months whereas of Rs 5/- is for the past 3 months. Because of the same even the vendors of the Court and other places of the town are also facing issues along with the public. When asked about the said issue to the Treasury Officer, sangay Sherpa, he informed that as soon as the stocks were over the office had sent a requisition around 20 crores to Kolkata on March 30, 2012 and the office is expecting that the stamps will be delivered soon. Once the dates and the order get fixed then the office fetches the stamps from Kolkata, he added.
