Janmukti Karmachari Sangathan (JKS) lends support non teaching staffs bandh Kalimpong.

Mukesh Sharma: Nobody seems to respond to the Bandh called on by the 5 non teaching staffs of the Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) except for the Janmukti Karmachari Sangathan (JKS). Today a 3 member team of JKS under the leadership of its President, Khadka Bikram Subba approached the protestors in order to understand their issues. It may be recalled that these non teaching staffs called on the indefinite strike since May 03, 2012 voicing against the application of basic pay and the DA under the Central Government and the State Government respectively on their salary. They also demanded to be taken under ICAR through which they were recruited.

The protestors today informed that they will be forwarding a letter to the MLA, District Administration and the concerned Department regarding their demands. If this does not work out in fulfilling their demands then they shall be meeting the Chief Minister Mamata Banerji. They also said that they are firmly against the two sided talks of few politicians. Speaking on the same, the JKS President said that these non teaching staffs have to suffer the negative outcome of such politicians. Further, asserting that the JKS has always worked for the welfare of the workers, he notified that they will be putting forward this issue to the MLA by making it and organizational matter. “We will be fighting against the KVK’s unjust. Similarly, the JKS Publicity Secretary, Hem Chandra Subba said that they will be working by their own ways favouring the non teaching staff’s demands. The JKS does not favour any Party or politics and it has and will always work for solving the issues regarding the workers. “We will try and make their demands get fulfilled”, he concluded.
