GJM candidates announced

KalimNews, Kalimpong, 5 July 2012: Gorkha Janmukti Morcha has announced its candidates for the first Gorkhaland Territorial Authority Sabha election to be held on 29 July 2012. Out of the 13 constituencies of Kalimpong Subdivision so far candidates of 11 constituencies have been announced.

For the 11 constituencies the following candidates of GJM have been selected by the party to contest the GTA sabha election. They are- 33 Chhibo Tashiding constituency- Kazim Tshering Bhutia; 34 Homes Bhalukhop constituency-Nima Tamang; 35 Bong Dungra constituency- yet to declare; 36 Dungra Pudung constituency- Ramesh Allay; 37 Algarah Dalapchand constituency- Kalpana Tamang; 38 Lava Lingsay constituency- yet to declare; 39 Rangpo Munsong constituency- Gopal Ruchal; 40 Pedong constituency- Dawa Lepcha; 41 Gitdabling Nimbong constituency- Kalyan Dewan; 42 Relli Samthar constituency- R.B.Bhujel; 43 Gorubathan constituency- Chandra Lama; Samsing Kumai constituency- Samuel Gurung and 45 Rongo Todey Jaldhaka constituency- Lobsang Lama.

Of these candidates Samuel Gurung, Kalyan Dewan are central committee members while Kazem Tshering is GJ Nari Morcha leader and R.B.Bhujel is Study Forum member. Ramesh Allay is GLP leader while Nima Tamang is GJ Youth Leader and Gopal Ruchal is Plantation union leader. Lobsang Lama is vice president of Kalimpong Sub division committee and hails from Pala of no 45 constituency. Lama is Director & owner of a school- New Light Academy of Namchi, Sikkim. People of the constituency has expected much holistic development of the area from him.
