Rajesh Sharma, KalimNews: KPP is meeting P Chidambaram the Home Minister demanding a separate state comprising of the four districts of North Bengal. Atul Roy, President of Kamtapur People's Party told KalimNews that a delegation will meet the Home minister on 30th April at New Delhi. Roy said that it has no objection on the formation of GTA if it comprises of the three hill subdivisions. But it will oppose it even if an inch of land of Terai and Dooars is included in GTA. Roy said that if the High Power Committee decides to do so then there will be disharmony in these areas and the committee itself will be responsible for the chaos created due to unreasonable decision of the committee. Kamtapuris are the real son of the soils of the plains but it is being denied by both the Gorkhas and the government but we stick on it. Referring John Barla the ousted ABAVP leader of Dooars, Roy said that it is proved that he has only a sizeable Adivasi support and recent strike called by them has proved it. It will be harmful for him if he tries to repeat the same mistake in near future.
