GJM member beaten by GNLF fraction, complaint lodged

Darjeeling January 10: The Gorkha Janmukti Yuwa Morcha town committee member Nirmal Tamang has been admitted in the Darjeeling district hospital after he was injured in a clash with the Gorkha National Liberation Front supporters at Barbattay Rock garden today. Tamang talking to SIKKIM MAIL said that he was supervising the works in his site and suddenly the GNLF members started throwing stones at him. He also went to them and tried to stop them, but he was hit by a wooden beam he added. Tamang has sustained injuries in his back and face. He has also lodged a complaint against GNLF members Gautam Chettri, Subath Subba, Agam Rai and Bhupal Bhujel. The GNLF leader Manhang Subba on the connection said that it is nothing to do with the party. It might be their personal clash he added.
