296 adhoc teachers made permanent, rest to follow- Giri

Kalimpong, December 23 ‘269 adhoc teachers has been made permanent, the volunteer teachers are also in the pipeline’ said that Gorkhaland Territorial Administration (GTA) Education Department in-charge also the chief guest Roshan Giri while addressing the gathering on the occasion of the golden jubilee celebration of the Gairibas high secondary school under Today-Jalakda constituency today. The GTA is bearing the salaries of adhoc teachers who are working in the schools which are not recognized. We are also working for the recognition of these schools he held. The appointments of the primary teachers will be completed by January 2013 which will constitute the candidates who had sat for the examination on 2002.

 The high schools have 633 vacant places, SSSK has 1084, MSK has 64 and the appointments to the same will be carried out at the earliest he assured. The engineer college at Takdha is under construction, the university will come up after few days as agreed in the GTA accord, and the land for the IT college has been confirmed at Garidhura said Giri and underlined the people that it has been carried out in such a short period of its journey.

 The schools buildings will be constructed with sound technology he said and added that apart from the education, GTA has made several projects for tourism and roads and is moving ahead fast. The GTA’s last objective will be Gorkhaland concluded Giri.
