More than 48 hours have passed since the road mishap at Geil Khola, NH31A on Saturday night, and the bodies of the 3 missing persons, namely, Shiv Sagar Chettri, Rambi Thana In-charge, Soumen Banerjee, NHPC Administrative Supervisor and Pritam Chettri, driver is yet to be found. A 20 member search team on 3 rafts set off early today from Gail Khola till Gajaldoba in search of them, but came empty handed. Even the public of Rambi is lending helping hands in the search operation. The Darjeeling District Police Superintendent, Kunal Agarwal today met with Shiv Sagar Chettri’s family and also visited the accident spot. The public of Rambi were reported complaining that still after frequent road incidents along the NH31A, a safety wall remains to be constructed. All the schools of Rambi remained closed today mourning the incident.
