Puja Garg of the Pranami Balikamandir school topped the WBCHSE with 83.6%

MUKESH SHARMA Kalimpong, June 4 PUJA GARG UMI LEPCHA Puja Garg of the Pranami Balikamandir school obtaining 83.6% (Commerce) has topped Kalimpong in the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education 2012 which was declared today. She was followed by Umi Lepcha of the Pedong St. George Higher Secondary school securing 82% (Arts).After the declaration of the results of the WBCHSE in Kalimpong different gestures among the students were witnessed.

Once again leaving behind the science stream the girls ousted the boys in the Commerce and Arts stream. Under the Science stream, Saroj Poudyal of the Kumidini High School securing 78.6% topped Kalimpong, followed by Rinzi Tamang of the St. Philomena School securing 78.2% and Saurav Rai of the SUMI securing 74% placed third.Similarly under the Arts stream, Umi Lepcha of the Pedong St. George Higher Secondary school topped securing 82%, followed by Deepika Chettri of the Pranami Balika Vidamandir with 77.6% and Binita Rai of the St. 
Philomena at third obtaining 76.4%.The overall results of the Kalimpong Girls High school remained 99%, St. Philomena remained second with 97%, St. George with 96%, Jubliee High school with 95%, Algaraha Higher Secondary school with 94%, SUMI with 85%, Kumidini House with 85%.The Kalimpong topper Puja Garg’s father Surendra Garg and mother Sunita Garg expressed their happiness and said “Two years earlier her sister had topped, and we are excited as she repeated too”. Adding more her parents said that they will fulfill what Puja aspires for. Topper Puja said that she wanted to be a chartered accountant. She obtained 90 each in accountancy and Nepali.
