Teesta Har, a student of the Kendriya Vidyalaya, Kalimpong has topped the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) class 12 examination securing 90.2% in Science stream. The principal Binita Sinha informing about the results said a total of six students had sat for the exams in Science stream, where Teesta Har topped with 90.2% followed by Aziz with 78%, Ruchi Sagar with 76.8%.
After the declaration of the CBSE Class-12 results mush curiosity among the
students was perceived in Kalimpong town this afternoon. Under the CBSE, Kalimpong has three schools counting Central school for Tibetans, Kendriya Vidyalaya and Sai Institute of Education and Researched.The Central school for Tibetans had the pass percentage of 97.8% where 47 students from Arts had sat for the examination. Tshering Yanzom topped the school securing 72.6%. Similarly the principal of the Sai Institute of Education and Research, BK Bandhari informing on the results said that the 16 students in Commerce passed out the examination with Pradhina Chettri topping the school with 67%. In the Arts stream a total of 14 passed out of 18 where Mingma Dorjee topped with 78%. Likewise in the Science, Bhumika Chettri topped with 67% informed the principal.
