ABAVP will never support GTA- Tirky

Rajesh Sharma, KalimNews: Adivasi people of Dooars will never support GTA. It is evident from the recent strike called by ABAVP and the response made by the public to the counter bandh of John Barla & party, Adivasi people are not in favour of GTA, said Birsa Tirky state President of ABAVP to KalimNews. Speaking over telephone Tirky said that John Barla is trying to mislead the people but every time he has failed. He further reported that a letter to the government of India has been sent quoting the misdeeds of Barla and his group. Dooars area is designated by the government as tribal zone but he is trying to deprive the tribal people from their rights and privileges granted by the government by including it into GTA. Of course we are demanding for more power and inclusion of it in Sxith schedule, he added. Just after the arrival of GJM in the Dooars the peace and tranquility is disturbed but people will not tolerate it, said Tirky. Babulal Kujur is appointed in the place of Barla and Rajesh Lakra is leading Adivasis in the right direction, affirmed Tirky.
