Rashtriya Gaurav awardee Principal SUMI, NR Pradhan accorded with warm welcome

The Principal of the Scottish Universities’ Mission Institution
(SUMI), Kalimpong, NR Pradhan was accorded a warm reception today by
the School’s teachers and students for being awarded with the
Rashtriya Gaurav award in the Constitution Club Hall, New Delhi on May
04, 2012.
The said award is given by the Indian International friendship Society.
In his address NR Pradhan said that he was pleased to be selected
among the 50-55 different personalities of the country. The award
received is the hard work and the dedication of the SUMI he said and
added that the credit goes to the students and the teachers not me.
SUMI has been competing with the other best school in the place. The
SUMI family has been working sincerely and in a transparent manner. In
the award function were also the former governor of Tamil Nadu and
Assam, director of the CBI who presented the award. Only four
personalities from West Bengal were bestowed with the award, and they
have recognized the hard work of the SUMI said Pradhan.
Lastly he also said that the VIPs in India are increasing in many ways
but the person behind the making are being neglected, which ought to
be taken into consideration said Pradhan.
Earlier the welcome speech was given by John Lepcha and the programme
was hosted by Subh Pradhan. The day started with offering of Khadas to
the awardee and later with beautiful cultural programmes by the
students and the teachers of the school. He was also presented a
memento by the teachers. The former student union of the school also
welcomed him with khadas and applauded his achievement. The principal
of the Rockvale Academy Captain Prakash Mani Pradhan, Principal of
Kumudini Homes Bhanu Kumar Baral, former Principal of the school PR
Pradhan, his wife Mamata Pradhan, SDMO Dr. SR Pradhan were present.
Awardee NR Pradhan credited teachers and students for the award.
