KALIMPONG, May 03:
MUKESH The non teaching staffs
of the Krishi Vishwavidhalaya Kendra (KVK) under Darjeeling District today
called on an indefinite strike. The first day of the strike witnessed the
sealing of the gate of KVK by the non teaching staffs followed by a Dharna. The
staffs recruited by the Indian Council for Agricultural Research (ICAR) are
voicing against the application of the Central Government’s basic pay and State
Government’s DA.
The KVK remained at a halt today due to the bandh.
