GTA chief inspect several areas at Kalimpong

KNE;Kalimpong, November 30 After laying the foundation stone of the Relli and the Dalgoan tourist lodges, the Gorkhaland Territorial Administration (GTA) chief Bimal Gurung today inspected various areas under Kalimpong town. Gurung in the early morning today reached at the funeral of the Kalimpong SDMO Dr Subh Ratna Pradhan where he stayed for two hours. He expressed his heartfelt condolence on the demise of the SDMO as well as the father of the Yuwa Morcha leader Barud Thapa.

 ‘The society has lost an honest and a good human person’ he said and prayed for the soul to rest in peace and the support for the bereaved family members. After the funeral he reached the Kalimpong GJM party office. The GTA chief along with the GTA chairman Pradeep pradhan, departmental officers and the GTA sabhasads inspected the Municipality primary school near Mela ground than Bagh Dhara, Haat bazaar and the 10 mile. 

He discussed the up gradation and build up of the areas with the Kalimpong municipality chairman LB Pariyar. After the inspection he had a talk with architect PR Mehta who had come from Delhi and discussed on the beautification and development of the Haat bazaar, at the party office. He also held a meeting with the representatives of the GJM Kalimpong sub division. It was also learnt that Gurung will be leaving towards Kolkata on Saturday to attend a marriage function of his close friend. He will be meeting with the state ministers on his visit.
