GJM counters its oppositions during the 1st concluding session of Sunday rallies 

MUKESH SHARMA KALIMPONG, May 05: Amidst allegations and challenges to the opposition parties the Gorkha Janmukti Morcha (GJM) today at Damber Chowk held the 1st concluding session of the Sunday rallies. The meeting was organized under the Chairmanship of the well known member of the Study Forum Dr RB Bhujel. The Spokespersons today gave an account of the Morcha’s achievements so far and also voiced against the oppositions. The main Spokesperson for today’s meeting was GJM Central Committee Joint Secretary Binay Tamang who furiously charged the Gorkhaland Task Force (GTF), Communist Party of Revolutionary Marxists (CPRM) and Gorkha League on various grounds. GTF, who had alleged the Gorkhaland Territorial Administration (GTA) to be faulty, was today challenged by Tamang to publicly prove the faults under GTA within 15 days. He in fact advised the GTF to hold a panel discussion regarding the same. If the GTF is successful in highlighting the mistakes then the Morcha is ready to do whatever the GTF says, added the Joint Secretary confidently. Further, 

Tamang advising the working President of Bharatiya Gorkha Parisangh (BGP) cum GTF, Rev Dr Anos Das Pradhan to work for religious institutions instead of wasting his time in politics, he commented “it does not seem good if a religious leader is involved in politics”. Tamang also recommended all the adversaries to deliver healthy critics. Countering the blame put by the CRPM of GJM not observing May Day in Darjeeling, Tamang said that the Sumeru Manch falls under the jurisdiction of Darjeeling Municipality but the CPRM was allowed to conduct a programme there on that very day because the Morcha had given the permission to do so. “We could have never granted the permission if we wanted to”, he stated. The other Spokespersons respectively taking their turn also verbally assailed R Moktan. “Moktan should first count the uncountable political mistakes made by him throughout his life and then should pin point towards GTA”, they asserted. Today’s meet was also addressed by the GJM Central Committee Organizational Secretary, Bijay Sundas and Samuel Gurung, Ex Army Morcha President, Col. Ramesh Allay, Naari Morcha Sub Divisional President Kazim Tshering Bhutia, Yuva Morcha Joint Secretary Barood Thapa, Janmukti Secondary Teachers’ Organization (JSTO) Secretary Bijay Pradhan, Gorkha Primary Teachers Organization’s (GPTO) Data Ram Sharma and GJM Kalimpong Sub Division President Sarita Rai.
